Don't Forget The Table Number Holders

I know I said this last year, but here we go again. For some reason brides seem to forget about the table number holders or they are just one of the smaller details so they leave them until the last minute. In other cases, they don't realize their event venue does not provide them. We get orders all the time from panicked brides needing table number holders on the fly! Enchanted Forest

Here is just a little preview of what is to come. We are planning an awesome photo shoot with Fearless Photography that will happen later this month. We are using it as an opportunity to share with you all of our new whimsical and rustic creations. We are excited that Hilary will be shooting for us and sharing her talent. We are lucky enough to have awesome models and it just happens to be close to their anniversary. I will keep you updated as we prepare. We have been playing around with our decor and that means a lot of trips down to the creek where it truly is enchanted.

Whimsical Table Number Holders and Hand Cut Whimsical Number Cards

Our vision for The Funky Shack has been for a long time to be that place that every bride wants to visit for unique handcrafted wedding decor and custom orders. I know that I promised jewelry months ago and we have an exclusive artist but it is taking some time to get it up and running. Be patient and we will soon have great pieces for brides and the wedding party. For now we are concentrating on expanding our table top decor. After taking these pictures, I saw how beautiful the hand cut card looks in the holder that I decided to offer them together. This makes it convenient for the bride and she gets a unique and whimsical look for her tables. We started printing cards sometime last year and have done everything from numbers, to locations and storybook names. I just listed this table number holder in our Etsy store. It is listed as a set of 12 table number holders with 12 hand cut table number cards.

How exciting!! Another one of our holders was pictured in a fabulous blog. We were lucky enough to have our 7" whimsical table number holder in a picture taken by Ventana Photography at an event planned by Liz Beck Events.

These we created while designing a custom order for a bride. We love them so much we listed them in out Etsy store.

I know that you will love them as much as we do. The wire is absolutely gorgeous. We received an or of antique looking pewter colored wire. I don't know how long it will be available, but we have enough for your fall wedding!

They are so perfect for getting creative. You could even use them as wedding favors with a little thank you card in the holder. I will be using them for teacher gifts at Christmas myself!

Wow, Look at our Whimsical Table Number Holder

I sat down in front of my computer to check out the latest Style Me Pretty blog posts by Abby Larson. I know I have mentioned before my love for this site. I have at times spent hours on Style Circle creating inspiration boards and reading blog posts. I was pleasantly surprised to see in the middle of Table 13 one of our handcrafted table number holders. I was so excited. I just knew that one day our designs would somehow end up on the pages of the most fabulous wedding blog out there. As much as I was excited, I was curious as to who ordered the table number holders and how they ended up on in this beautiful and whimsical wedding. After a little research I realized it was the caterer . Royal Fig Catering is a fabulous company that is located in the Austin, Texas area. Many of our holders are also pictured in their blog. I have to say it was quite an awesome day to find our holders pictured on these blogs.

Blogs We Love

I have spent many hours on the net just cruising from one wedding site to another. Sometimes it gets me in trouble because I don't creep into bed until the early morning hours. It just fascinates and inspires me to see all the unbelievable talent out there in the world of weddings. It would be selfish of me not to share my great finds. I will be sharing with you weekly some of my faves. So where should I start? I will start with a hometown girl. Amy Osaba is an Event Floral Designer located in the Atlanta area. We absolutely love her style and creativity. The way she blends the elegant and the vintage rustic is amazing. You get drawn into her blog and can't turn you eyes away! We love Etsy

As we continue to grow and serve brides all over the world, we have found that Etsy is one of most important tools to reach the creative bride. If you surf the net, which I have spent many hours doing, it is so hard to find anything unique. Most sites have the same inventory of flip flop, elephant, snowflake....I have even seen Hawaiian shirt place card holders. What is a bride to do? In the multitude of wedding sites out there The Funky Shack website has been found by many of those brides and wedding planners. It is so cool that Etsy is able to help us reach even more people searching for just the right party and wedding decor. In fact, if you see something on our blog that is not listed on our website, most likely it will be in our Etsy store. There are just two of us running this show and we have found that if we want to quickly list a product Etsy is the place. We have been working on our website, but it is a work in progress, totally functional but there is so much more we are working towards.

Combining rustic and vintage

I love all of the different elements pulled into this board. It has a little vintage, a touch of rustic and a splash of sleek modern. It is fun to mix styles and it makes for a very elegant wedding.
