Don't Forget The Table Number Holders

I know I said this last year, but here we go again. For some reason brides seem to forget about the table number holders or they are just one of the smaller details so they leave them until the last minute. In other cases, they don't realize their event venue does not provide them. We get orders all the time from panicked brides needing table number holders on the fly! We are happy to help and have a lot of choices. These double swirls are a great choice! So if we happen to be describing you I would be love to help. Just click here !

EXCUSE OUR MESS

Once upon a time, this is how our studio looked. Whimsically decorated for Christmas. I would be ashamed to show you the studio at this moment. We have been so incredibly busy that we are busting at the seems. We have a table full of chalkboard table numbers ready to go out and we have another table of wire table number holders and place holders ready to be packed up. In every corner we have our vintage finds stashed and stacked up ready to photograph. The floor right now has all kinds of random boxes scattered around, packing material, and pieces of wire. We never intend to be untidy, but we are always rushing and our time seems to just fly away.

In addition to our studio being a flat mess, our website and Etsy store have suffered a little bit as well. Like I said we are having growing rapidly pains. Despite all the chaos and mess, we are determined to get the orders out in time!!! We even take last minute rush orders and are able to get them there in the nick of time.

So as we grow , our website at times may need some attention and my blogs may be sporadic, but I assure you that is because we have the bride in mind and get the orders out first and sometimes it is a ton of orders.

Thanks for stopping by! See you on the flip side! Dawn

A Perfect Pair

I apologize for my lack of blogging the past couple of weeks. We have had some growing rapidly pains. This is only a good thing even though it has completely exhausted us. Every day has had its own unique challenges and I won't even go there. The only thing that makes it possible every day is the relationship, both personal and business, between my sister and I. Thus the title of this post "A Perfect Pair." I feel lucky and will never take for granted the unconditional love and understanding that makes us reach for our dreams everyday. We are constantly moving forward and our dreams get bigger everyday. Just keep an eye on us to see what is coming next! By the way, the rustic picks are available in out Etsy store.

The Studio

We have been through a lot of growing pains, rearranging, organizing and of course decorating to make our studio a fun and inspirational place to work. It is a never ending project but that is good because it means we are constantly growing. I couldn't ask for a better place to work and play. I say play because we have so much fun that it doesn't seem like a job. Over the next few weeks we will be giving you a glimpse into our studio and our lives. It is important for us to feel that connection with our customers and readers which is hard to do when our business is 99% online sales. We converse through emails and occasionally phone calls with customers when helping to create the perfect event. Mostly are orders are just a name on the screen and we have to use our imaginations to picture the type of event they may be having. Our main purpose in sharing our workspace with you is to bring you into our world for a moment. Even though we may have only an image in our mind of the person that belongs to the name we take pride and enjoy knowing we have helped make that special day or event even better. Nothing goes out our door unless it is perfect and if you know my sister you know that statement is 100 percent true! Thanks for coming back and reading our blog and please return soon so we can share a little bit of our sunshine with you!! Dawn

Wow, Look at our Whimsical Table Number Holder

Whimsy

I sat down in front of my computer to check out the latest Style Me Pretty blog posts by Abby Larson. I know I have mentioned before my love for this site. I have at times spent hours on Style Circle creating inspiration boards and reading blog posts. I was pleasantly surprised to see in the middle of Table 13 one of our handcrafted table number holders. I was so excited. I just knew that one day our designs would somehow end up on the pages of the most fabulous wedding blog out there. As much as I was excited, I was curious as to who ordered the table number holders and how they ended up on in this beautiful and whimsical wedding. After a little research I realized it was the caterer . Royal Fig Catering is a fabulous company that is located in the Austin, Texas area. Many of our holders are also pictured in their blog. I have to say it was quite an awesome day to find our holders pictured on these blogs.

We love Etsy

As we continue to grow and serve brides all over the world, we have found that Etsy is one of most important tools to reach the creative bride. If you surf the net, which I have spent many hours doing, it is so hard to find anything unique. Most sites have the same inventory of flip flop, elephant, snowflake....I have even seen Hawaiian shirt place card holders. What is a bride to do? In the multitude of wedding sites out there The Funky Shack website has been found by many of those brides and wedding planners. It is so cool that Etsy is able to help us reach even more people searching for just the right party and wedding decor. In fact, if you see something on our blog that is not listed on our website, most likely it will be in our Etsy store. There are just two of us running this show and we have found that if we want to quickly list a product Etsy is the place. We have been working on our website, but it is a work in progress, totally functional but there is so much more we are working towards.
Of course we tweet and follow others we think are important in the business and our FaceBook fan page has been quite a hit. Check us out!!
