DIY Table Numbers

This table number is so charming propped up on a vintage candlestick holder. This particular piece of wood came from my sister's old farmhouse and has the original paint underneath the number. Even the least crafty person can recreate this look. Any salvaged wood scrap will do! This is a great project for brides who are going green with their wedding design.

I suggest 5 or 6 inch squares. The first thing you need to do is paint them with a light coat of paint. A light color works best underneath. Make sure to let it dry thoroughly. After the paint drys you can freehand or stencil a number with a darker color coordinating paint. When the number is dry use a piece of coase grit sandpaper to distress the wood. Your guests will be so impressed! Have fun!!

Adorable Fabric Flowers

Now I am really having fun!! I just started making these adorable fabric flowers. I love how the different texture and color of all the fabrics create a unique look for each bloom. My daughters and I have been wearing them in our hair to top off the perfect outfit. Imagine them on flower girl baskets and ring bearer pillows. I will have some more pictures in near future.
