We are super excited to announce that 
we are now selling our handcrafted farm tables!

Our Introductory price is $450! 

This is a steal for such a large table! 
We use pine wood for the top and finish it 
with a dark walnut poly satin stain. They are built 
to last with each of the top boards being 
glued and assembled together with wooden pegs. 

As we were building more tables to bulk up our inventory,

we decided to keep building so we will have plenty to go around!

We are only making one size, as stated below, until after the 

first of 2015 and then we will begin to offer custom sizes & colors. 

The tables pictured measure 8ft x 3 1/2ft.

They can seat up to 12 people. 

We rent farm tables and other 

wedding and event furniture and decor

to Metro Atlanta and beyond!

Each table rents for $75 each and we have a mix 

of vintage chairs in shabby white.

Handcrafted gifts are always a great way to say "Thank You" 

The smile on Lindsey's face says it all!

On the day of a wedding, it is our goal to make sure everything runs smoothly. In order for this to happen, there are months of prep work involved behind each and every event…and we certainly don’t do it alone! A few weeks ago, we hosted a staff appreciation dinner to thank our fabulous team for all of their hard work after the busiest spring season thus far! Our girls are used to working events, so it was a nice change of pace for them to be our guests for an evening. We wanted this dinner to be a very special evening for our team, so we took this opportunity to spice up the studio with our signature Funky Shack style. The delicious food and desserts were made by Contemporary Catering and our girls couldn't get enough! While enjoying our food, we reminisced on some of our favorite (and funniest!) moments of the wedding season, and shared lots of laughs. We would like to thank Tessa for joining us to photograph the evening. The dinner was a great way for us to say thanks to our team and to spend an enjoyable evening together.

Our amazing dinner was provided by our good friends at Contemporary Catering.

             We made these cute little tool aprons for our team in appreciation 

for a  successful spring wedding season.

 (We had a selfish motive behind this one!)

                                   and guest list from our parent's wedding. My how things have changed!

Thank you again ladies for your amazing talents, long crazy hours spent on projects and events, and all the smiles and laughs. Can't wait for fall season to kick in so we can do it all again!

Throwback Thursday: SweetWater Brewing Company VIP Party

It's Throwback Thursday here at The Funky Shack!

Last July, The Funky Shack hosted a fun-filled event for brides and grooms who were either just married, or getting ready for their big day! Our guests were treated to an afternoon of tasting, touring, and fun at the SweetWater Brewing Company. We hosted the event in SweetWater's VIP room, which provided a bit of privacy from the hustle and bustle of the brewery, but still kept the atmosphere light and fun. We had several wonderful vendors who came out and helped make the event a success. Cindy from Blooming Flour Bakery brought our favorite salted caramel cupcakes which were absolutely to die for.  Our guests' bellies were filled with Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q's delicious pulled pork and their decadent mac and cheese. The whole afternoon was photographed by Sean and Amanda Photography, who are always a pleasure to work with. We had such a great afternoon with some of our past and future couples. We couldn't help looking back and posting about this wonderful event!

The favorite seemed to be SweetWater 420.

No lines for our guests. We had a personal server for the VIP lounge.

The tour is definitely a must!

All I can say is YUM!

2014 Bridal Fashion featuring Fabulous Frocks

Good morning Bridal Beauties!

As many of you already know, finding that perfect gown for your special day is no easy endeavor. Luckily, there are some wonderful people in the bridal fashion industry who have eyes for style and a strong drive for constant innovation! Today we’re going to be talking about 2014 bridal trends!

When shopping at your local bridal boutiques, expect to see everything from plunging backs, to lovely lace, and even COLORED DRESSES?! Many blushing brides are now opting for blush gowns to match their glowing cheeks in 2014! This year’s trends are pushing the envelope, and brides are eager to try the new styles that are unique AND chic.

This week, we visited Fabulous Frocks of Atlanta, located in Tyrone, GA, to get an insider’s look at the beautiful gowns that are flying off the racks in 2014. Abriel, owner of Fabulous Frocks, was ecstatic to show us some of the dresses in this year’s collection.

Abriel says that what’s most exciting to her, as a bridal shop owner, is that brides are coming into the store wanting to try something new and unique. She says that they are excited to try on dresses that are different from what their friends have worn, so that keeps things interesting and fun! This allows brides to get awesome deals, saving them 30-70% off of retail price, which actually translates to thousands of dollars!
