Homemade Play Dough

Here is a "play dough" basket that my sister and I made for a school fundraiser.
It turned out so cute. You could take this idea and use it
for a gift or do it on a smaller scale for party favors.
She used homemade play dough, play dough toys, containers,
the play dough recipe, etc.
The possibilities are endless, GET CREATIVE!
PLAY DOUGH RECIPE:
1 cup of flour
1 cup of warm water
2 tsps of cream of tartar
1/2 cup of salt
Food coloring or unsweetened Kool-Aid packet
Mix all ingredients in a pan and cook over low heat stirring constantly
until play dough consistency is formed, about 5-10 minutes.

Need a break from wedding planning?

The holidays can be the most hectic time of the year. Top that off with planning a wedding and you have a recipe for stress. Fall is the perfect time to take a break and escape from all the pressure of everyday life. Blueridge, Georgia is my favorite place to go for a quick tranquill fall weekend. The shopping is wonderfull. There are galleries with spectacular handcrafted art, homemade fudge and candies, and unique items from the local community. I always get two bags of stoneground grits, one white and one yellow. Just outside of downtown, don't miss Mercier Orchard for the Apple Cinnamon Bread and the Cinnamon Apple Cider Donuts. About an hour from Blueridge in Tennessee is the Cherokee National Forest and the Ocoee Whitewater Center. A must see when the leaves are changing. Don't put it off any longer plan a weekend to relax and rejuvinate. Happy Traveling!!!
